At The Little Beach Houses Mersea, we often receive inquiries from our guests asking what they should bring for a perfect day at the beach hut. We've put together a definitive packing guide to help you make the most of your time with us.

• Food and Drink

We provide all the utensils, cutlery, plates, and glassware you need, but you're welcome to bring your own supplies. Plus, our huts are conveniently located with parking directly behind, so it's easy to bring your own food and drinks. Alternatively, we have an extensive list of local suppliers who can deliver food and drinks directly to your hut. Whether you want a seafood platter or a beautiful afternoon tea, we have got you covered. And if you forget anything, don't worry - we're located in front of three food outlets serving hot food, ice creams, and cold drinks.

• Ice

We provide a mini icebox in all of our huts, so all you need to bring is a bag of ice to keep your drinks cool.

• Beach Towels

Don't forget your beach towels in case you fancy a dip in the sea.

• Paper Plates and Cups

We do ask all guests to do the washing up before they leave, but if that's not your thing, feel free to bring along some paper plates and cups instead.

• Milk

We provide a gas stove, kettle, and tea/coffee/hot chocolate supplies and milk sachets, but if you’re anything like me, you’ll bring along some fresh milk for your cuppa. Alternatively, you can pick up milk at Vivi's Corner Shop, located just two minutes away at the entrance to the holiday park.

• Suncream

Renting a beach hut means you'll be spending the whole day at the beach, so make sure you stock up on suncream and apply it regularly. Also available at Vivi’s Corner Shop.

• Wet Wipes or Muslins

Wet wipes or muslins are a great way to quickly wipe sand off little hands before lunch.

• Books or magazines

If you're looking to relax, bring along some reading material to enjoy while lounging in your beach chair.

At The Little Beach Houses Mersea, we offer front row beach huts for daily rental in West Mersea, Essex. Our huts are suitable for up to 8 guests and come with free parking, access to brand new on-site toilets and showers, luxury beach furniture, deck chairs, kids' toys, and a gas stove. We also provide all glassware, cutlery, and complimentary tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. And if you're a dog owner, don't worry - we're dog friendly too!
